Power 03:33
you say something bad you did it for a laugh you didn’t get caught off my guard, looking over at the light reaching out to touch it you say something else you’re sleeping on the shelf you’re teething caught on my sleeve, turning over and around reaching with my hands out looking for something powerful and soft
Go Slowly 04:40
does this party stress you out? can’t stand talking about yourself what have i been up to? well, i can’t recall the other day i saw your picture on the wall but things are going well i’ve just been keeping to myself i’ll try to get it back to you in the fall got some words to write just working thru it all so can we go slowly i got lost behind the veil finding other hills to scale yeah everybody moves off the known to find a new workaround but everyone’s a salesman when you’re down so i keep it to myself trace the county on the Belt seventeen miles through the snow counting up an apple core tucked into your cuff then you’re holed up in the basement crying to the beat so can we go slowly i got lost along the way what was i supposed to say? can we go slowly doubled over and unglued what was i supposed to do?
Get Back 02:45
night driving at four in the morning through the town dim forager lost in the dark following the sound bright glare from the moon tracing a moving truck wind rushes and all of your little hairs stand up but once you’re losing the thought, you’re allotted half as much once you get back big plans just to find yourself camped in a parking lot waking up to a knock on your window from the cops come to from a dream of swimming with some new man lizard dancing in the wake of your headlamp in the sand but once you knew what was up, you got all knotted only just to say:
Hawks 03:31 video
i hear the hawks coming down and i’m holding out hope but what am i holding? you’ll have to haul me off i catch the bus going north just to sort it out open it up to Haley she’ll have to bail me out you know what to say when i’m all wound up i sit and play it just trying to find that note o when i get the notion, i ride around til i’m fading but then it’s faded up breaking out in the moment i close my eyelids i feel my palm open now so i hold it up over opening eyelets ready to hand it down closed up the fence so i climb up and over just trying to find that note feel my way through the fields full of overgrowth to find them empty where’d everybody go? o when i get the notion, i tear around
Slug Night 02:07
sober up you wandered out to find a friend but everyone is closing up or closing down so, find a way to get back to the sound holding something bright and powerful but tonight i’m a slug lay around and get stepped on riding the dog heading down to my friend out on the rocks on your path in the state park how could i know what was inside your head?
Buddy 03:10
it’s wintertime time to see all your buddies where’d everybody go? and i just wanna see my buddy’s band but they’re all out on the road so i stay in it’s spring and the flora is blooming wildly all along county roads i’m counting on something to come alive so i don’t come out alone it’s summer now something is all around us droning a simple tune you follow the sound til you hear her tell you longing’s enormous too then you’re driving in the rain on a clover interchange just swerving through the day you find an end but you spent all your money
Softy 02:38
don’t let me down, softy we’ve all pulled awful cards you don’t seem so powerful when you’re on the ground softly fading out coffee on your sleeve where’s your faith in me? you can always call softy, after all i’m your biggest fan hear the show of hands here’s your favorite show here’s a telescope lichens on a truck you’re a lightning bug there’s always untold horror in your own orbit softy, go forward fearlessly you can come back home you can find that note and you’ll find me, too softy, just be true
Water 01:17
we swam and you splashed water on me now i see you in the creek crashing over river rocks in streams dripping out the faucet rushing down the street
River Rocks 01:32

Blue Heron 04:16
am i coming down with something or just coming down? try to be brave for my friends so i spit it out swirling around in my head c’mon now, calm down shattered in the back of my van spinning out great blue heron in the lake swimming you’re on your back now trying to find a place to meet friends but they’re all closing down but is it really so bad to be floating around come on jodi, get it right work it out don’t let me down
